The water pump im buying is circoli and ive never had issues with the one ive got so buying again. Just have to make sure the o ring has seated nicely.
Bugatti pump going on (Alfa Romeo part box).
Original pump lasted over 100K and was leaking through the bearing seal .. next one fitted lasted about 40K and the bearing was shot ...
This one I haven't yet checked but the symptoms are the same as the first one: losing coolant, steam from behind cam belt covers and no puddles under car. So it's boiling off what it loses and causing an air-lock as the temp climbs fast sometimes when I'm doing about 70 .. then the fans kick in and the air flow to bring the temps back down rapidly.
Sooner or later though I know I'm going to lose too much and the engine overheats ...
As the belts are due soon I'm doing them and the cam sensor as that's been throwing up errors for a while but isn't affecting the running .. just don't need a EML light when it does in for it's MOT in late June!! (failure now!)
