Full Beam - lights up my face more than the road
I have an issue with the little blue light that comes on in the dash when you engage the full beam headlights. The blue light is intensely bright! So much so, it's hardly worth putting them on because mostly I can see is the inside of the car floodlit in blue...
I'm not sure if the blue light in my car has been replaced with a super-bright one by previous owner or this is just an Alfa thing to prevent me driving at night on unlit roads. Either way it's significantly brighter than the dipped beam (green) light. Does anyone else get this?
Do you know if there's an easy way to do something about this?
I thought about either changing the bulb (LED?) or putting a lighting gel in front of it to reduce the brightness - I imagine cracking open the speedo is probably not the best plan though and fiddling with the bulb will more than likely send the canbus haywire.
Thanks for reading. Any suggestions welcome!
