So far have taken off small blue hose from turbo vgt mechanism. Seems intact, has a few cuts to the outer layer, but inner core seems ok and I pressure tested it with a hand pump in the sink (a la bike inner tube puncture repair) and no bubbles or evidence of pressure loss. So I guess that ones ok.
I pushed the VGT mechanism and it seemed not to move other than a little (and I mean almost nothing at all). Various opinions on that on here from its normal to its stuck).
Going to double check the large bore turbo hoses tonight and if I can reach it from the top the other little pipes into the turbo.They seem hard to get at from the top of the car though?
Finally if all that checks out ok I was going to try some turbo cleaner Forte perhaps (recommendations please). Im aware of Revive, Innotec and the Mr Muscle methods, which seem quite involved.

Reminder I have a P1235 Boost Pressure Signal Error, limp home mode and what feels like no power above 3k revs and very tardy throttle response or lethargy. But it will hold a speed once you get there.
FYI the EGR valve was taken off not so long ago and cleaned and wasn't too bad anyway, solenoid moved ok etc. The symptoms of that are the other way around anyway from experiencing them.
