Quick question about gearbox removal

When I disconnect the gearbox from the end of my knackered 1.8TS, it's not going to piddle oil everywhere is it.....

Re: Quick question about gearbox removal

When you take the driveshaft out of the gearbox the oil will follow the driveshaft, thats provided theres the correct amount of oil in there. Get a little bucket, you'll be fine.

Re: Quick question about gearbox removal

you would be best to drain the box before you remove it, it makes it less heavy and less messy
