It is an Induction Innovations Mini Ductor 2. Sykes import them into the UK from the US and basically double the price, and then some. If you look on the 'bay there are US ones for £320 delivered, but they are 110v, so not much use. However, there is a bloke selling UK ones, with the extended coil kit for £395, which is a lot, but it is a fantastic tool. It really is like the videos they have on you tube: press the button and the nut/bolt is white hot in about 15 seconds.
I got it for the 155 - I need to dismantle the rear suspension and everything is corroded solid. I could get the oxy torch out, but I don't really fancy grubbing around under a petrol tank with a big flame.... The inductor worked perfectly - 3 bolts that I did not dare to turn any harder were heated up and came out like lambs. It will also be good for my son (12) who is working on a 156 - I'm certainly not giving him the oxy torch, regardless of location, and he will be able to attack seized stuff which is a considerable source of frustration for him!
If Alfa had a moment of thought about greasing (and undersealing) stuff, life would be a whole load easier.
