Here is this months list of things going wrong on my 156 1.8
Gears: If I engage 3rd at anything over 20Mph it crunches into place (and makes me wince everytime) - is this going to be as expensive as it sounds when the crunch happens ?
Boot Release: You hear the click when you press the button on the key fob an when you pull the leaver but the boot does not open. But it works fine with the key. Any ideas?
Reverse Lights: Dont work, not sure why, swapped bulbs and it has made no difference. Is there a fuse I can check?
Panel over the drivers piller has come off and the Seat Belt mechanism is all showing, and I notice that the unit at the bottom, where the seat belt retracts into, is not actually attached the car, its just loose and pokes out of the hole it sits in. You can jiggle it about. Is that how it is supposed to be?
Thats it for now
. Still loving the Alfa experience believe it or not, but I would not reccomment taking a 1.8 to the lake district, there is definatly not enough power to go up those hills quick, I was being left behind by my dads Diesel Mitzubishi Lack of Charisma which was a little embarrassing
