156 2.4 JTD 10v not starting

Hi guys, just got my first alfa, and have done a few little maintenance bits to it before I use it daily.
I've done cambelt, water pump, idler tensioner and belt, cv joints etc...
And after doing the cambelt it t'was mint and ran like a dream, I then changed the air filter (was a lovely location) and now it doesn't start?

I unplugged the maf and cleaned it with some brake cleaner and an air line as it was quite dirty, and moved some of the relays out of the way to get the filter out, put it all back together and it cones up with vdc system failure and refuses to start, I have also put a new battery on it so I know it's not low voltage causing it.

I went to plug the diagnosis into it (snap on modis ultra) and it's not seeing the ignition is on even tho it is, the code light for the key isn't going out on the dash and the red lights is flashing by the centre readout, so I'm thinking it could also be an immobiliser problem, the micro switch in the fob has fallen off so can't lock/unlock it on the key to find out.

Anyway I'm stuck and just want it to work now, lol, not a good way to start alfa life.

Seconded, wiring & relays. Those wires that go up to the relay bases will be very old & brittle by now, you might have broken one internally while moving the bases.
