Keeping spare engine management parts together?
I have been keeping a complete V6 engined 156 as a source of spares for my daily driver. As I've watched the sills dissolve over the past year, I've decided it's time to completely dismantle it to put the spares into storage.
When taken off the road, the engine and management systems were behaving very well. I have one (red) key and to maintain a working setup, I need to know which components I should keep together, to ensure the whole lot could be dropped into another car if required.
Excuse my ignorance, but most other cars I'v dismantled have date no later than the 1970s where bits of wire were the only things needed to make an engine run...
