New V6 GT owner wants a new exhaust
First post today after recently purchasing a V6 Alfa GT (after driving a van for the last 7 years - I always fancied a V6 Alfa!).
To the matter in hand: a new exhaust, and ideally some advice / opinions (I know its a subjective topic, but I'd be pleased to hear any opinions)
The back box on my new acquisition has seen better days, and so I thought I'd treat it to a new rear box. I'm looking for something pretty civilised - ie does the engine note the most justice without being anything close to ear splitting or something that makes annual MOT tests an awkward affair (ie removing CAT's).
So far I have seen (but not in the flesh) offerings from Ragazzon, Supersprint, Wizard and Scorpion.
Supersprint appear to trade at premium, especially their power loop system. Is this justified in people opinions, or do other manufacturers offer better value??
Ragazzon do some nice systems, but I'm not sure I want to carve up the rear of the car to accommodate one of their twin pipe systems. How do they measure up to Supersprint? (especially the single pipe systems)
I've heard good things about Wizard, but it's a small (but expanding I think) operation and they run long lead times (6+ weeks for delivery) and clearly won't have the resources of the big manufacturers to do the testing and standards compliance, which can provide extra piece of mind.
Scorpion. Not heard much about these, except they seem to have a good pedigree making bike systems, and that they *might* be lower in quality vs aforementioned systems, and can be a pig to fit.
Anyone car to chip in with their opinions or experience?
Thanks in advance.
