Dazza, we will be mates for as long as we both like Alfas, Mitsi driver
you were moaning about getting updates...
My mates GTi is an 8 valve, which I'm told is more tourquey than the 16.... I left him for dead period, even from the line I wiped his sorry ass along the road. At no point after I stopped and waited for him did he stay close enough to read my number plate
Anyway even if he had beat me my car looks nicer sounds nicer is more comfortable, and
Its an ALFA
Hey, I'm always moaning about some **** or other
I'm gonna be brutally honest when it comes to my mates GTi: It's a bag of old shyte...
It has some rust spots here and there, the gearbox is fecked resulting in the gear knob shaking around and wobbling all over the place, he had a brake failure a while back when all they did was judder, every time he corners a buzzer noise warning ring ding activates and the other day the seat came off the runners when I pulled it forward,
Also there was a problem with the distributor as well and that needed replacing.
It seems like the worst buy in the history of the Earth.
He paid £1200 for it initially and has probably forked out a few more hundred since and man hours etc, the car has no history and 117,000 miles on the clock. I thought he must have been off his head.
Sure, they're quick upto 80MPH, but after that theyre pretty crap really. Whether it be the 8 Valve or the 16 Valve.
It's at times like these I look at the Galant and think to myself 'Damn, I got a bargain there!'.
I'm still waiting to review my Galant, but have to wait until I've gone to work and back in it a few times to compare it properly.
