A month or so into 156 ownership and so far...
A minor oil leak, which Northants Alfa think is the gearbox sorting its own level out (it's clean oil, only a few mls a day ending up on the road when parked for a while); one day the computer told me it was the wrong date (cue me trying to get to a meeting and realising half way there that that the car was lying); the radio reception goes completely to crap when the headlamps are on full beam (?!); I can't believe they didn't put an anti-skip CD player in a car with suspension like this; the alarm beeping when locking/unlocking got on my **** so I used the guide on here to change the country code to... UK... (!) and silenced it. Sadly a really good look at the sill above the windscreen found the dreaded paint bubbling, and picking the biggest bubble away found it was indeed rusting. Can't afford to get that fixed any time soon so have used some of the rust cure paint on it for the time being and will keep an eye on it.
I had noticed a bit of haze from the exhaust when accelerating hard - only noticeable in the light from following vehicle's headlights at night - but a good thrash on a handy runway seems to have cleared that away entirely. Quite surprised to get 138mph indicated from a car that the specs say can only do 132mph, but at that speed I wasn't about to look down at the GPS to see what it reckoned the real speed was and I didn't have the room to keep that speed going for more than a few seconds either. Anyway if the thing can survive that sort of thrashing I hope that means the engine's going to keep on turning for many more miles to come.
Still making me smile every time I drive it, now going to look at sorting the cosmetic glitches - new grill badge, big scuff/scratch on front bumper, smaller scratches elsewhere.
