Went up to the coast last night to do a little Mullet fishing (thats fishing, not catching
From home head to Machynthlleth, which aint a bad road by any means(A470)
From Mach to Aberdyfi the road is
Pushing up hill (always works the engine nicely) twists and turns as it follows the estuary, not often I solo it and can really enjoy it, usually have the family with me, and probably in the Picasso
, then on past Aberdyfi and on to Tywyn and the fishing. I have to say the drive should have been better than the fishing, but like an eejit I wore boots to drive, and you don't have the control that you need for swift and smooth gearchanges.
I noticed on the way out of Aberdyfi that it is national speed limit, yet the car in front was only doing 25-30mph due to the delicious (IMHO) bends, found a short straight and passed him, and the bloke in front of him
as did the scoob behind me
I deliberatly let the scoob past me as you ani't gonna race one on those roads, and tbh when your being pushed you can make mistakes...All lucky for me as it was a WRX, and I didn't stand a chance
I really missed the flexibility of the straight through exhaust though...And had a PM when I got home from a potential buyer...I'm stuck, I like the power, not the noise?????
