So after all the hassles and problems my bella is now MOT'd
Bill from the station was around £460 (set of tyres, new cat and the test fee) also had one rear tie rod and a set of rear pads...oh and a pair of wiper blades, 'bout another 70 I suppose, I didn't need the pads (advisory only) and only needed one wiper blade....
Was this good or bad for a 100k motor (£40 + fee last year BTW)?
Now do I de cat ? I have my old cat...I work in a fabrication factory, with loads of pipe some stainless about, 10 mins work and keep my spanking new cat for "best" (mot's) possibly hire it out to other decat motors
Still got a bit of putting back together to do inside my car lots of trim panels off, to find connectors that may be loose, and a good wash and clean up...Any other motor and I'd have been tempted to give up.....
Mind you I've still to formulate my cambelt plan....
Buy a cheap v6 GTV and do the belt in it myself, make sure it runs and swap it for my engine....
wait 'till my belt goes and horse in a 3.0
Sell it and buy a diesel punto
