me thinks we need some kind of identifying logo so we only flash people who are going to flash back
Tax disc behind the rear view mirror? Not sure what the law states about tax disc placement? But I prefer mine there . . .
Or, finding this thread quite interesting - maybe we could organise some stats. How many flashes/waves per week etc?
There is a weird paradox about Alfa ownership, we all know of the *FIERCE* depreciation and the (mostly apocryphal) urban myths concerning reliability. I for one want to keep spreading these myths if it keeps the cars in the hands of enthusiasts. But, the point is that anyone can afford an Alfa these days and to some people an Alfa, VW or Honda badge all mean the same thing.
I'm not against company cars, if I was in that position I'd jump at the chance to get an Alfa paid for by someone else
But it would still be an Alfa right? As already stated I'm sure there are people out there who have not the slightest clue about the rich and important history.
It was for good reason that Enzo Ferarri cried for a week when Ford first beat Alfa.
So, keep flashing and stay proud to own an Alfa - sounds a bit emotional; but I've owned many cars over the last 20 years or so - 2 were brand new. But my Alfa is without doubt the finest.
I spend hours & hours polishing, fiddling and fixing bits & bobs - things that I couldn't of cared less about on a VW or Toyota.
