Yes yes yes Chris it's all been triple checked, the last belt was in fact wearing on the lip of the tensioner as it was tracking. One thing I did happen to notice was that the crankshaft pulley or cog had a bit of movement when I had it over the key way and against the engine block, there was a bit of slop there but not so much as to cause tracking I wouldn't think. Could this be the cause of the issue? All my cam wheels are running true, the only other thing I can think is that for some reason the previous owner has had the heads machined and that has been done incorrectly.
I've put a whole new kit in it, tensioner, bearings the whole lot so I really have no clue.
