Nivomat Suspension or not - how do I know?
I picked up my 156 Sportwagon yesterday, and it's low... & hard... the original invoice has Nivomat suspension on it... how do I know if it still has it or not?
I took a rear wheel off last night & had a look, and it looks like a standard "spring & shock" strut - I was expecting the Nivomat unit to be a self-contained unit without a coil spring. Can anyone shed any light on this?
As an aside, Sachs Boge's website list the Nivomat unit as "discontinued" for the 156 - this is a worry, isn't it?
Does anyone think I can take the whole thing off & put some normal struts on there instead?
Help - before my fillings fall out!!!
