So spent last 48hours awake getting back from a work trip to Asia.
Got home late this morning, slept a while today and was itching to get out for a blast in my GT..Thats how these cars make you feel.
Awesome evening on some really nice fast twisty roads. My car is finally as i want her to be. The new clutch allowing to put all the power down, its superb.
Its been in a few states of tune since i have had her, and then recently as predicted the oem clutch started to slip, so after replacing with a stage 1 JTD performance unit she is now rock solid. Its been really fun being able to put down all the power.
The transitional gear change from 3rd to 4th is just so sweet, she just really shifts now. The hybrid turbo is just really impressive, and with the really good map Autolusso put on the car its so linear and responsive. With the hybrid turbo she is much more productive at the top end of the rev range. 4th and 5th at the higher end is so laughably torquey and pulls so strong right to the red line.
I really can surprise some performance motors out there.
People don't expect her to go like she does. Its a real q car now. Anyhow enough, just wanted to celebrate what can be achieved with a little bit of outlay and a bit of patience.
New GTA brakes fitted soon once the 3.2 uprights are back from the powdercoaters. After all my woes i am starting to have real fun now, gaining confidence in the car, and learning all about the new characteristics of the map and hybrid turbo. Looking forward to hopefully getting on track soon.
Be interesting to see how the GT copes at Bedford autodrome, with the gearing etc. Compared to the last time i was there in my modified Audi TT qs..
