All of the above is bang on.
Alfas aren't huge reliable, but they are not as bad as people believe.
They look lovely, and they feel pleasant to drive.
They aren't the fastest, they aren't the most efficient and they aren't the best at residual values.
But, they are lovely and quirky and nice to be in.
Fellow owners at events are nice to each other and helpful.
People who buy them tend to be nice people. They have to be calm and able to deal with stress because Alfas are annoying. Simple faults need most of the car removing to fix. But you do it anyway and feel satisfied afterwards.
A good one takes time. They ALWAYS need attention and ALWAYS need money. Somewhat like my wife. However, just like my wife I still keep her, no matter how annoying she can be at times.
