I may well drive it down when i'm next in Swindon...
cosmetically it will be 99% with some minor rattle can work by myself and a buffing wheel and T-Cut..
not engine out Gazza, there is a "Knack" and it can be done in situ..i'm not saying its easy but do-able.
parts ordered and we think we can have it up and running for around £300 tops..
thats including the cam belt kit, new wishbones (if needed) a new exhaust mani (if needed) and a full service..(definitely needed!)
as its the N/A VIS model there are a lot less things to go wrong..its not a Porsche slayer like the 20v turbo but at 164 BHP(it has a dyno run on the history) and weighing around 755 KG it will be plenty quick enough and a capable GT car.
the interior is spotless black leather and will require a valet and that it!
v. excited about this one as we got the car very cheap..even if the head gasket is gone its easy to do with the cam belt and will only cost another £30 for gasket and head bolts.
only disaster would be if the cam belt goes on the journey back.....fingers crossed!
