I have a pipercross foam air filter in my 2.0 1999 Selespeed. At the weekend, I removed the filter, cleaned it out and left it to dry. All the air intake gubbins was off from filter box to MAF. Then, I firgot I'd taken it all off as my wife went to collect Saturdays Chinese take away! When she got back she said it was a bit loud!
On sunday, I put the now dry and clean air filter back in, secured all screws etc. and started the car. It started fine. I blipped the throttle, it died!
The CODE warning light came on, the red injector light came on and the selespeed light came on. I paniced!
Let it a bit, tried again, all the same lights.
Left it an hour, tried again, with other key. Started but injector warning light on still. Left it running, when warm took it for a swift drive. Drove fine, half way through, the red injector light went out and has stayed out ever since!
Alfas are weird!
