The throttle is controlled by the ecu so no throttle cable. the 16 valve cf3 engines had 2 types of inlet manifold, the ally one which I dont think was fitted to the 147 had issues with the swirl flap bearings wearing and leaking, the later plastic manifold which I think will be fitted to the 147 has issues with the swirl flaps breaking off the spindles and going through the engine causing lots of damage, both manifolds soot/coke up because of the egr valve.
The inlet manifold is on the back of the engine, removing it is quite a big job needing the fuel injection pump removing which is possible without removing the cam belt but easier to do with the belt off.
It is popular once the manifold is off to remove the swirl valves and blank up the holes, blanking plugs are available for the ally manifold. For the plastic manifold the flaps are in a metal section between the head and main part of the manifold so the holes that are left can be welded up.
