Not Happy Hmm, not what I expected.. driveshaft gaiter fouling damper fork

Hi all,

Last week I fitted two new drive shafts to my 2003 156 JTD 16v.

All went fine and it cured the juddering I had under acceleration.

However, my joy hasn't lasted long! Today, after a quick look underneath, I noticed the drive shaft gaiter/ boot is rubbing against the aluminium fork that attaches the shock absorber (damper) to the lower arm. It does this when the steering is on lock. When the wheels are straight ahead, I'd say there is only a couple of mm clearance.

Obviously I can't leave it like this, the boots will split in no time!
The shafts were not genuine AR but otherwise fitted (and function) perfectly. Also, my car has a full eibach suspension kit and as a result is slightly lowered, but the old shafts never rubbed.

Anyone seen this before of know how I can fix it?

Thanks David
