Re: Yokohama S-drive AS01
I did eventually put the S-drives on. I actually had the Yokohama Decibel V550's on for 24 hours, but was not very impressed, I thought it wasn't very quiet, especially when it squeeled around corners. So I swaped them for the S-drives the next day.
It really grips in the dry and reasonbly well in the wet. I have 147 1.6 and can still manage to spin the wels in 2nd gear on a wet road...... so much for grip in the wet.
The only other time I've lost grip is going around a corner with painted lines and a thin layer of sand covering it.... OK I've never taken that 90 degree corner at 70km/h before, but even during the squeal and slight traction loss I still felt in control.
By the way, now in retrospect I know that the AVS Decibels were actually quiet. The S-drive has a fair amount of noise.
