Whenever I've been driving in my 156 V6 for around 10 minutes or so the car will start making a high pitched whistling sound, and if I pull up at the lights or slow down a great deal the noise will stop.
It will get slightly louder as my journey continues but doesn't make a sound until I've been driving for about 10 minutes.
Obviously as the noise only occurs whilst I am driving I cannot really tell where its coming from.
does it stop when you dab the brake pedal ?? Mrs Troll 156 has the same but when you dab the brake pedal it stops, so I am guessing its just the pads squeeling.. I am gonna take them out and put some coper slip on them...
How about a wheel bearing ? does it stop when you go around any corner ?
