147 roofbar - I need to remove the rear window!
I have my (genuine) roof bars to fit to my 52 plate 147 3door.
I've put the front one on. I was fitting the rear bar, and one side fitted nicely - the bracket neatly clipped between the glass and the bodywork above the rear window.
On the other side though, there is a problem.. the window is sitting too high and the bracket doesn't fit between the glass and the bodywork.
I popped into a dealership and showed it to one of their people who instantly saw the problem and said it should be easily fixed by removing and refitting the rear window back in its proper position.
So.. has anyone ever done this? Do I go to any body-work garage for a quote.. is this a job for someone generic like autoglass who might even do it in my driveway? Reliable independant alfa specialist?
Can the window be removed and replaced without damaging the seal, or will the person need spare parts in order to replace it?
