GT clutch pedal squeak/creak physical CURE!
The clutch creak may be well documented on here but when I looked there only seemed to be a handful of people who 100% cured it.
After much searching I saw one post on here that mentioned turning the master cylinder piston round 180 degrees and refitting to cure the creak. I did this combined with the fitting of a metal washer between the piston and the pedal and hey presto its fixed. Smooth, light and non creaky clutch pedal.
Before I did this I had tried wd40, silicone spray, lithium grease, brake caliper grease etc etc and none really fixed it. I did the above without using any more lubricant/grease and hey presto, no noise! Very happy and hope this posts find its way into someone else's search to help them.
Need an Alfa! Cheap, cheap! Pref something older that needs a little work!
