Removing a-pillar trim (with airbag)

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone has taken off the a-pillar trims when they are equipped with an airbag?

Are they easy to remove?

I need to check the sunroof drain pipes behind them.

Re: Removing a-pillar trim (with airbag)

I have done it on my 147 to pass a cable with microphone for my handsfree kit. No big job, the trim holds on a few plastic/metal clips. The actual airbag is in the roof above the doors, in the A pillar there are just a few of its components I am not sure if it is risky to touch them or not.... To be sure, disconnect your battery for 30 min before touching anything.
