Fixed..... got another crank sensor from Rock auto, cambiare brand, measured it right out of the bag and it is 934 ohms. Car starts right up. This problem ambushed me.... here is what happened. 1 year ago the car would intermittently stall while driving. I bought a crank sensor and installed it (cambiare) brand it did not fix the car. Found that the red relay by the battery was the culprit, so I left the Bosch unit on the shelf and the cambiare unit in the car..... the car ran 6k km no problem, parked it for 2 months.... no start.... both crank sensors failed while sitting. The Bosch unit now reads open circuit and the first cambiare unit reads in mega ohms..... crazy right
No joke that's what went down.. thank you all for your help. I now know alot more about this system and can move forward with the belt service and water pump service. Can anyone recommend a vendor that sells overseas for the service kit?
