Alfa 156 JTD Broken

My 2003 156 JTD 2.4 Lusso has suffered a snapped timing belt. The belt was only about 20k miles old, but a foreign body made its way under the timing belt cover and the valves and pistons have come together. What's the best/cheapest way to return it to the road, or do I sell it as repair or spares, and move on?

Might be worth giving AutoLusso a call... They can often rebuild bricked engines after belt failures: Autolusso - Engine Rebuilds

Is yours a 10V or 20V? My understanding is that the 10V don't have sacrificial rockers so are much less practical to rebuild.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I shall follow up your suggestions and report back.

Mine is a 10 Valve engine.
