Re: Burning Rubber!!!
Andrew, Bazza, I think you might just be right, lol.
However, in my defence, all 3 times were in the wet. That's not really all that much of a defence is it...?
But it never happened to me when I had Nankangs on there, only when I 'upgraded' to the sodding Goodyears did I end up facing the wrong way round. Never hit anything though, or the roundabout, or any kerbs...
Thats good driving right there, to spin and not hit anything! lol
But seriously, I shall take it steadier with the Alfa, I think it's because the ST24 was very cheap so I didn't mind testing it's ability so much. However with my 156 I'ma take her much more steady.
Also, when I did lose it in the ST, I wasn't even giving it any welly whatsoever, well, not much anyway. It seemed to just lose it at the drop of a hat. In the dry however it held the road like glue.
Having said that the guy I sold the car to lost control of it a week and a half after having it and slammed it side on into a foot high kerb just outside work bending the chassis. Write off.
So not sure if it was the car, the tyres, or the drivers...
Cheers for all your help though, I've contacted my local tyre supplier to get pricing and should be hearing back from them tomorrow.
