156 V6 Oil and Spark's
Sorry to be pestering these forums but you all seem to know what your'e talking about and all seem to know a great deal more than the Alfa dealers themselves.
This time my dilemma is Oil, Spark plugs and spark leads.
On my return from picking up the 156 V6 60 miles away from where I live, I decided to check the oil again as I knew Alfa Romeo had quite a bad rep for going through alot of oil.
There was a bit in there before I left for home, and hardly any in there at all once I got home. So I nipped down to Halfords and bought 2 Litres of Castrol Magnatec to top her up with.
In the last week or so this hasn't gone down at all, but after reading a fair bit on these forums about the 'right' oil, I think I might get an oil change done; This time with the best oil for my engine.
What is the best oil to use in my 1998 156 2.5 V6?
Also, at the moment the Spark Plugs have a yellow top to them, and the leads are thin and ribbed, can anyone tell me if these sound like the ones that originally came with the car, or if these are what Alfa Dealers are now using and they have been upgraded recently?
To be honest they look quite grubby so I wouldnt mind changing them for some Alfa Owner reccomended ones. I've seen alot of old hype about the Iridium ones but apparently theyre a bit of a b*****d as they A) Dont last as long and B) The Iridium wears off anyway.
Any ideas regarding the Oil, Plugs and Leads would be mucho appreciato!
