I'm now the proud owner of a red 3dr ducati corse
I decided to swap from my 147 TI as I just fancied a little upgrade and always loved the ducati corse. It was a hard decision to change from the Ti as it was in such good condition inside and out, and never let me down since owning it. However I am chuffed with my new purchase and can't wait to get it cleaned up over the next couple of weekends as it hasn't been cleaned by the previous owner like I like my clean cars!
Anyway there's also a few little issues I need to get sorted, firstly it was the famous 'sticky gear change, whereby it's also very difficult to find 3rd and 4th gear. Do I only need to replace the top hat bushes and grease it up or is there anything else I should replace whilst there? secondly, the front bumper right hand side grill is loose at one end, and the front bumper isn't quite sat right, so i'm going too take it off and check out what's the problem behind there. thirdly, and most annoyingly, the windscreen washer isn't working right, on my old 147 you pulled back on the stalk and this would wash and wipe the windscreen, then you'd push forward on the stalk and it would wash and wipe the rear screen. On the new car, nothing happens when I pull back on the stalk, and if you push forwards, both rear and front wipers start going but only the washer fluid will spray on the front wipers
fourthly, there's quite a few little stone chips here and there, and the wheels are in need of a refurb so I will pay a visit to the bodyshop soon.
Other than that, it runs a treat and looks great
