My New 156
New to this forum, collecting my first Alfa (156 1.8 TS) on Thursday. I shall post up some pics when I get it.
From reading around on here, I've realised Alfa have lowered the cambelt change interval to 36k or 3 years.
My 156 is a 2000 X, so 7 years old, covered 36k miles, and from the service history never had a belt change. So I better get it changed sharpish as it should be on it's second belt by now.
I wanted to drive the car for a bit before I did it though, to make sure I was going to keep it. Do people think I'll be alright for a couple of weeks before I get it changed.
Also, can anyone recommend a good garage near to me (Warwickshire) to get it done at? I've called my nearest Alfa dealer, who quoted me £324, does this sound reasonable?
