A quick question about a sharp click noise I'm getting on the suspension at the front left of our 147 T-Spark, it's a Lusso model if that makes any difference. I suspect it had been standing for a couple of months before we bought it as well.
We have had the upper and lower wishbones replaced in the last couple of weeks and also the outer CV joints as they had all failed.
What happens is that as I go over a speed ramp at say 10mph, there is a sharp click type of noise from the front wheel on the left hand side. I'm fairly sure that it's not the ball-joint because the sound is wrong, I'd expect a clunk when hitting the speed ramp and also on heavy steering when driving in a somewhat spirited fashion. The noise only happens in a straight line.
I'm thinking it may be the rubber on the bottom of the shock absorber having perished and worn through but haven't yet got underneath to take a look. Any other ideas?
Thanks for any help you can give.
