147 Undertray Rivnuts

Hi All,

I need to replace the rear undertray rivnuts on my 147 as the bolts seized in and snapped into the subframe. I have had them drilled them out but now I am looking for replacements.

Anyone tried the ones one ebay? I phoned the supplier to ask if they need to be installed with a tool and they seemed to have no idea

Are the standard ones hex rivnuts or round? Maybe these are an interference fit?

I'd be inclined to try these or their stainless equivalents:

And some corresponding stainless steel bolts and washers. Anything other than stainless and you'll have the same seizing/rust problems.

You can use a special tool to install but for only a few a bolt and washers will work OK. Look on Youtube for some examples of home-made tools used to install.
