147 gearstick housing

I need to replace the housing on my 2006 147 1.6.

Is this the correct part?

No that appears to be the part for the jtdm/v6
Have a look here for the part you need - Alfa Romeo 147 Gear lever

Alfa GT, 156

I had excessive gearstick play in a GT I recently bought. I assumed it was the gearstick housing without really looking into the problem but replacement didn't solve the problem. It turned out to be the small lever in the selector plate above the gear box so I have a perfect gearstick lever/housing, albeit used (part number 55192793). Essentially, even a tiny amount of play at the plate gets 'amplified' at the gearstick. PM me if you're interested in my spare.
