Well I just tried peeling back the rubber from top corner of window to just below the window line. I pushed a length of 700c by about 23mm bike inner tube in there which obviously just packs the rubber out a bit. The window sits more snugly against the rubber and top of the window sits tighter against the seal. It was raining when I tested it, but I reckon the wind noise has gone (it often seemed like the window was open a touch). I can hear traffic, but that's possibly just the thin glass letting noise through.
Have a go John, there's no need to slice into any of the rubber, just prise the outer leaf out whilst stuffing it with packing.
