147 temp gauge not working.

hi, i own an alfa romeo 147 1.6l, all has been ok when this morning when i started my alfa the fuel gauge worked as usual and the temp gauge blinked on as usual but the temperature did not go up. however after i left it running for some time the fan switched on just as usual. i checked the wire from the hose from radiator and it does not seem there are any loose connections. any help please

Could be the temperature sensor.

Re: 147 temp gauge not working.

Yeah. I unplugged the temperature sensor, on the top of the thermostat housing, on mine and the temperature gauge stops working. Does anyone know if this is the one that tells the fan when to come on, or is there another one for this somewhere? Thanks.
