Got Loads done today,
transmission tunnel bolts removed, subframe bolts loosened and most removed, steering rack bolts loosened about 3 cm, arb bolts removed.
bottom ball joints split - BLOODY HELL THEY GO BANG!
Just need to grab a 24mm spanner tomorrow so that I can undo the last top bolt in the engine mount (gearbox is supported by a jack atm)
Also took off calipers and disks and they are knackered (good job that I checked as there is about 2mm of pad on the outside but the inside is about 0.1mm and about to scrape the disk).
Anyway ferodo DS2500's ordered and new disks.
One problem that I have found is the passenger side hub seems to have alot of play in it. You can grab it and move it from left to right.
I've had bearings fail before and they make a hell of a racket, I'm supprised that its the bearing as it must have been grinding being this loose (and it wasnt)
What could this be? track rod ends are still in place so I suppose these could be loose as hell?
