Not on a 156. I have only had code1 keys duplicated.

If the Code 2 is harder to crack it might be a case of finding out the details of a specialist for an answer. Perhaps there is a newer duplicating machine or perhaps it can't be done. I'll have a dig around.
On Code 1 I walked into 2 shops and both could duplicate the key. It doesn't seem that you have been unlucky. More likely that Code2 is a totally different kettle of fish...

I apologise that my posts have been misleading.

Edit- I have emailed a CODE specialist and will post the answer.

No worries fella.
My undestanding is that crypto 1 can be coppied but crypto2 can't. My 2001 156 uses crypto2 and i think most Alfas that came with two black keys are similar. Red keys use a different system.

ALL 156 use the Code2 system

The Red key'd 156 are also Code2
