156 2.0 TS sportwagon selespeed fault

Hi All

After 3 months of happy ownership, all my fears that I had when I first bougth the car started to come true...

I have been driving the car with no problems, 1.500 miles and nothing, zip, nada. After the purchase, Jamie had a look to the car and changed the Belt and variator..everything seemed to be fine

Yesterday I was driving in the city. Rain outside and auto climate (with A/C) on. Selespeed ligth started to flash. I stopped the car, switched off the A/C and everything went back to normal.

Today, I was driving on the M25 ...again with the Climate control on. Ligth started to flash again...without even stopping the car, I switched off the A/C and the sele light dissapeared.

Seems to be an electrical problem with the A/C and the sele. Checked the Oil and seems to be fine. I am very confused with what is happening. Any clues???

have you checked the battery? the alfa must have a good battery at all times otherwise spurious electrical faults are common.
