just about had it now!

This is my 1st alfa and probably the last. I dont want to get rid of the car as these ones with the interior it has fitted and boot spoiler are pretty hard to come across, how ever im starting to lose it. Fitted a new turbo a few months back. Fine for a few days then developed a problem with unpredictable boost spikes. Now i have a crack in my sump thanks to the plate that bolts over the exhaust via 4 bolts. Cant remove the sump as i cant remove the exhaust nuts as they are badly rusted, cant drain remaining oil as the plug has rounded off. Cant remove downpipe from turbo as theres not enough space so looks like turbos going to have to come off just so i can shift the exhaust to remove the sump. Does anybody know of any good alfa specialists in the yorkshire area cause ive had enough of getting under this car myself and if i go down the route of paying a specialist hopefully i will get a year or so of stress free motoring. Thanks in advanced

hi mate. i know the feeling of something going wrong all the time. iv had my gt for over 2 years now and iv decided that this is the year im saying bye bye, cant keep paying out silly money everytime something goes wrong and there are just 2 many things that seem to go wrong on a regualr basis. take it to a garage and let them deal with it all. hope you find a good alfa specialist tho.

Try Gareth at Northern Alfa Performance at Maltby. Had both mine there for all dsorts of work done , cam belt, clutch, suspension , service, gear shifter etc , etc and I can say the lad is very good and very reasonable. He's on the inndustrial estate next to where Maltby pit used to be.Northern Alfa Performance, Alfa Romeo and Fiat specialists, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Workshop Facilities, Diagnostic, Mot. I can second Northern Alfa Performance. Had my 147 there a few times over the years and recently my Brera. I wouldnt take my Alfa anywhere else now.
