I was beginning to believe you, even the "Not boring buying twice" bit but then you mentioned not to buy a V6 GT.
I bought a Dieseased GT for one reason - It's economical.
The other reasons to buy a GT are it's looks, the way it drives and the leather interior as I think it is rather good.
The diesel is a means to an end. I don't even think by diesel standards it's that good, VAG diesels are much better though like many diesels are still ****.
However I do agree the JTS (my other econo option) has it's own shortcomings and I was told the diesel is the better engine by a few sales people, not sure if that's true but probably a fair point after what I've read. The V6 is surely more expensive to run than the dieseased but ultimately I would (money not considered) take a GT V6 over many cars.
I would even consider breaking my "Two consecutive same model cars are boring" rule for one
The diesel is cheaper but not a patch on a V6, not ever. It's a clattery smoking economical compromise.
And I've never driven a V6 GT
