which sutton you in? i live burton upon trent and theres sutton coldfield just down from me and i work in mansfield and drive through sutton in ashfield.
im really tempted with the lpg, what sort of mpg you getting on your ts now?
I live in Sutton Coldfield. So very easy to get to and from.
On my twinspark with LPG is get a consistent over the last 3123 miles 27.8mpg
On petrol on the same route I get 34.6mpg.
There's always about a 20% loss. Maybe less if the fitter and tuning is very good. But generally I'd factor in 20%.
It might actually be less but I tend to boot it and not worry about fuel costs any more.
I bet I could get that average up to 29 if I took it easy.
The kit cost me £500.
I save realisistically 30-40% of my annual petrol cost. Making it cheaper than a diesel to run.
I get the quivelent of 57.8mpg AVERAGE.
Or to put it in price per mile. Inc petrol for start ups. 0.106p per mile.
Petrol was roughly 16p. Diesel 147 would be around 13p.
Like I say it would make the V6 as cheap to run as a twin spark.
You will loose some power
You Will loose mpg vs petrol (best 10% worst 20%)
You will drive it harder because its no longer costing you to fill up.
You will loose range (lpg tanks unless a cylinder) will be smaller. and you have less mpg making range less so you fill up more.
There are pro's and cons.
Personally I want another V6 though and I want to use it every day and I want the running costs to be similar to a diesel.
