Hmmm 147 selespeed valuation

Hi Folks,

Sadly the time has come to part with my 147 bella. I need a guide for valuation for part ex. I'm not sure what all the options were called so I need help filling in the blanks.

Should I partex or try to get an Alfa dealer to buy her? I really don't have the time to go private (Unless someone here makes a fair offer) Basically I need bringing up to speed with the market.

Can anyone help with a valuation?

147 Selespeed in Alfa Rosso.
Nov 2002 on a 52 plate (UK)
24k miles (1/2 what you usually see)
Alfa FSH
Newish Goodyear Eagle F1s
All usual selespeed options

Connect Nav+
Winter Pack (heated seats and washers)
Momo Leather (also called sports leather?)
Comfort Pack (This was the 3rd hearest and arm rest )
Bose speakers
Multi CD changer
Climate pack (the rain sensor)

What were the other packs? Was the dual zone claimate std on a selepeeed?
I think the 5 hole alloys (teledials?) were std on selespeed.

All help appreciated. I must admit I'm going to miss her.

Re: 147 selespeed valuation

most dealers use whatcar's guides...

you could argue you want a little more for the connect+, winter, comfort etc...

dual climate is a lusso feature so standard. teledials i think were standard too, the upgrades were the 17in supersports.

Re: 147 selespeed valuation

Thanks, that helps nail it down somewhat. At least I know I've got the 17 inch "sports alloy" upgrade.

It's interesting that you say dealers generally offer WhatCar prices. When I went to a BMW dealer in Highgate last weekend they offered 5 - 5.5k. I was considering a Z4 (heresy I know but I will not be a typical BMW driver) but luckily / sadly it's too small. Great car though. I think I need to push a little harder on the px price.

Anyone got any tips or techniques for making a dealer do a good deal on PX alfa's?

That's a good price. I would have suggested about £5.5k for a private sale.

For a 70k 2001Y 1.6 Lusso, to buy one you'd typically have to pay about £3.5 - £4k privately. There are loads of these on Autotrader in that price range.

For your car, I'd add:-

£400 for 2.0
£200 for Sele
£300 for leather if in good condition
£500-£1000 for mileage
£250 for Connect+ and the other bits
= +£1,650 to £2,150 on top of that base 01Y 1.6 Lusso price.

You really would have absolutely no trouble selling that car - its so fully loaded that anyone who knows anything about 147s will snap it up in an instant. Have you tried Piston Heads?
