I haven't been here for a while; I gave my 2001 147 to my son.
He only brings it back when its broken
He's been having a problem with the battery going flat and the right rear light and the front left side light out. The bulbs haven't gone.
I have been reading threads on here and the consensus of opinion seems to be it's the body computer.
After much testing I thought I would take it out to see if there was any obvious damage, which there is not.
It is going to need more professional attention, so I am putting it back together again.
Unfortunately I have found a detached wire; I don't think it is anything to do with the problem, I just think I pulled it off whilst working and I don't know now where it goes.
It comes from the connector with the heavy red wire on the fuse box which is on top of the body computer. it is black and connects up with a wire mid way along, which is a white heat type covered wire with DSG3/1 written along it. It has no connector, just bare wire.
Can anybody tell me where this connects up to?
