Creaking clutch pedal (slave cylinder and other bits?)

My clutch pedal creaks. It creaks if you press it down during first 1cm of travel, then goes quiet, then creaks towards the last 4cm or so of pedal travel (when the pedal is against the footwell floor).

If you stick your head in the footwell and look up underneath the dash, you the see various clutch bits, slave cylinders, levers pulleys etc.

Took it to the dealer first time and they reversed one of the grommets around (not sure which one). It cured the problem for 2 weeks. Then it started creaking again.

Then back to dealer and they said they lubricated the slave cylinder. It cured the problem for about 2 weeks.

This morning, back at the dealer. The main Alfa mechanic wasn't there so they gave me a trainee looking guy who just sprayed grease over everything and said 'wait an hour to let the grease get into the joints'. Still creaking.

Spray grease is pants.
Get your head in the footwell and see if you can locate the exact squeaky bit.
Get some good thick grease and daub it on by hand
