Re: 156 tickover and flat spot problem.
Fitted the new MAF from an ebay seller (brand new but not a Bosch one though it has the same part number). No difference!!
So I did a reset of the ecu as per instructions found on this forum (thanks guys) and while I left it running the tickover seemed to drop to the right level.
However just tried to take it for a sprint, now it stalls at junctions unless I pull up VERY carefully, definitely low on performance, kangaroo style below 2000rpm, seems smokier now, engine bay smelt a bit when I popped the bonnet. And for the entire 10-15 minute drive the temperature gauge hardly moved. Its as though the timing was out...
Have I got the wrong MAF or something?? Any ideas/suggestions?
Damn, I'm going to have to take it back to the Alfa dealer for another diagnostic (this is what started all my problems in the first place)
