Yes, you're lacking hydraulic fluid.
As said, there is only 0.6L in the whole system, so it may not take much of a loss for it to become an issue.
I suspect there may be a fine line between just about enough fluid and not enough!
The Selespeed actuator uses the Selespeed fluid, pressurised by the pump to 50Bar (quite high!) to operate the clutch (via an old-style lever) and to move the selector shaft in place of the normal gear lever.
So all the Selespeed gubbins (with the exception of an input speed sensor) is outside the gearbox itself and just bolted on top.
