Alfa 156 lost key

Hi there,

seasons greetings !

just managed to lose my one and only key / remote key fob for my Alfa 156 JTS 2004, any ideas about a reasonable way out of this mess?

Which won't increase the national debt?

Advice appreciated?

Kind regards,

Alfa Guinness

Unless things have changed since I needed a new key a few years back, I'm fairly sure there's no cheap way round this
You need a new key, and a new code from Alfa and a dealer to program the new key and your car with the new code. Probably around 300 in total?
Someone else with more knowledge will be along to confirm or correct soon, I expect...
good luck!

The cheapest way would be a replacement lockset however youll need to fit the ecu, code box and obviously ignition barrell at same time as the door lock

if you choose to go this route, give me a PM as i could help

Gazza's recomendation is a good shout and should be your first port of call tbh

Either get an ecu, code box and transponder chips from a scrap car as suggested above or if you still have one working key it can be cloned by an auto locksmith with the right gear. Only the blade and transponder though, not the remote locking/alarm function.
